Steven H. Marks

Steve Marks was born and grew up in Miami, Florida. After graduation from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995, Steve served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County for three years.

Since entering private practice in 1999, Steve has developed his practice in a variety of areas in civil litigation. His civil litigation career began with construction litigation, where Steve's practice includes contract drafting, lien and bond foreclosure actions, surety indemnification and commercial litigation in contract and tort.

From 1998-2000, Steve served as an Adjunct Professor of Constitutional Law at Florida International University. Steve has also applied his interest in constitutional law in his municipal law practice, drafting ordinances and resolutions and representing corporate and municipal clients in litigation.

As his career progressed, Steve developed extensive experience representing plaintiffs in first party insurance litigation and negligence claims, including common-law and statutory torts, property insurance claims and flood claims. Steve has also defended a variety of insurers in complex first-party insurance claims in the areas of disability insurance and life insurance defense.

In 2004, Steve became senior litigator in the condominium and homeowners association litigation department of a multi-state law firm in Miami, Florida.

Steve and his family moved to Flagler County in March 2006. He is managing partner of the Flagler County office of Marks & Frazier, LLP, serving Volusia and Flagler counties, including Ormond Beach, Bunnell, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast.
